“ Nice cozy resto. Service was excellent. We find the food we ordered were very enjoyable. Nice in fact. However our Tuna Steak was too salty for us. The Dalmatian starter with cheese we recommend. As it was our first meal in Croatia we had nothing to compare with. Overall value for money. ”
“ Great place to have a nice food. I had tuna steak and it was great. One person from our party had a Beef Steak, and he was very satisfied. It was 300 grams. So more than in the other places. Fish soup was also very, very delicious. A person eating octopus salad was also satisfied. Price was surprisingly affordable for all that we ate. ”
“ The food was excellent, large portion size at good prices. We stopped for an early dinner after a day of biking. There is good choice on the menu and in 4 languages. We started with soup, a fish and a mushroom soup. The mushroom soup was creamy and full of mushrooms. For the main course we had the veal escalope, one just stuffed with ham and cheese and the other done in Zagreb style. Both were large. One of us had fries while the other had the sliced potatoes served with bacon. The grilled vegetables were excellent. The interior has tables for 4 in the first 2 rooms and smaller tables in the back room. They provided hearty local food and we would come back. ”
“ I found Knoba Stere Grede through Google reviews, and it turned out to be just perfect! Don’t judge a book by its cover! From the outside, it looks more like a inhabited fastfood place, and there’s no clear sign if it’s open or closed. But once you step inside, everything changes. The interior is warm and inviting, with a lovely ambiance. On our first visit, we tried the Pasticade, it was incredible! The meat was tender and melted in the mouth, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were generous. Both the appetizer and the main course were excellent. The second time we went, they had run out of Pasticade, so we ordered the grilled chicken fillet instead, and it was just as tasty and perfectly cooked. Tip: if you want the Pasticade, go early! The owner is very friendly, prices are reasonable, and the quality is consistently great. Highly recommended! ”
“ We visited on our last day in Split as wanted to try traditional Croatian cuisine. The place was clean and smelled of freshly cooked food. Grilled sea bass with baker's potatoes was delicious. Although traditional pesticiada with beef was not available, my friend decided to go for a tuna steak option of this dish, served with traditional gnocchi and rich sauce. The portions were generous and we enjoyed our meal. Well worth it, as the bill was very reasonable in compare to other places to eat closer to Riva and centre. Must try when in Split ”
